This is an excellent hard case that will securely protect your golf clubs. Most airlines won't cover golf clubs for damage unless they are in a hard case and this item fits that bill perfectly. The good news is that airlines like United will consider this case a regular checked-in bag. The spinner wheels make traveling alone with this case and a carry-on manageable.

The only issue is the sheer size of it. It's nearly impossible to fit in most car trunks since it doesn't flex at all. The charger worked great for a few weeks and then failed to turn on. I soke with the seller and he gave me the number for the warranty department. Another neat feature of this app is that it I can say to myself, "I know it's 184 yards to the pin...BUT what club should I hit??" This app actually tells me what club to hit! It is also much more than a club selector. It is an interactive range finder with accurate distances to any spot with the "Get Distance" action on the tool bar. It is by far the easiest aerial map I have used and the best part is you can take it off GPS so it tracks quickly and it doesn't drain my battery. Nothing worse than being out on the green and the phone is dead for the ride home.

I have paid my caddie big bucks for this information in the past. This is the most intelligent golf caddie I have ever used! Now I call it my iPhone caddie, though that is not the name of the product. To be honest, I have searched and have not found another GPS golf app like this one. This app factors in how a golf ball is launched plus the actual weather conditions at the time. Most apps will let me (the user) define club distances but this is usually only entered in as a basic distance and it does not factor in the weather. My very cool iPhone pocket caddie even factors in the weather conditions at the very moment, at the very spot, on the very golf course where I am standing. Knowing my club distances better has solved a big problem for me in my golf game because before I never knew how far I was hitting my clubs. Now I am able to know this data with the help of my iPhone!

A friend of mine asked me the other day for the perfect golf gift under $20 and I quickly told him to check out a golf pocket caddy. What in the world is a golf pocket caddy, you ask? A pocket caddy is a type of pocket sized instructional manual that you can take with you on the course, as you travel or on the driving range that provides you with quick golf tips and advice without having to lug a book or magazine with you.

 

There are several types of pocket caddy products that I have seen on the market that range in price and quality from a few bucks to $20. Basically, they are cliff notes for the game of golf and can come in quite handy if you are looking how to set up for a shot, some quick golf practice drills, interesting and fun golf practice games or quick references to the PGA rules of golf.

So, based on my experience, here are all the types of golf caddy products I have seen on the market:

• On-course golf tips for all golf shots

• Driving range practice drills

• Condensed PGA rules

• Golf practice games

• Golf games you can play with your buddies on the course (i.e., "best ball")

• Short game

• More distance

• Swing fault fixes

When looking to purchase a pocket caddy, obviously you don't want to buy a bunch of little guides to fill up your golf bag, so look for a golf caddy that is comprehensive, yet achieves the benefit of being small and easy to carry.

Some other things to look for in a golf pocket caddy include:

• Credible authors - weekend golfers or seasoned teaching pros?

• Concise - you want a golf pocket caddy that gives you the critical data you need and not a bunch of useless language to confuse you.

• Good visuals - ideally, the golf caddy makes good use of visuals so you can quick get the gist of a lesson and not have to ready and digest a bunch of text.

CaddyTek Caddy Cruiser One-Click Folding 4 Wheel Golf Cart

Very pleased with this cart. Read lots of reviews on the CaddyTek vs others and agree this one lives up to its rep and descriptions at a more reasonable price. Pushes/pulls well, bag is held securely, plenty of storage, even without attaching the mesh bag. Assembled easily, opened a little stiffly at first but now easier after several uses.
Took off one star for these two issues: 

1) Compartment on handle holds extra balls/tees, keys, pencils just fine, but items inside were noisy without a felt/cloth liner on the bottom like some other brands have. Problem solved by going to a craft store and getting a 5"x8.5" piece of felt with adhesive backing, making a template of the compartment bottom, and cutting the felt to fit.
 
2) convex shape of the compartment cover, with the raised logo, sometimes makes keeping the scorecard difficult.

CaddyTek CaddyLite One Click Folding Golf Push Cart

For the golf cart purchase decision my consideration came down to just these two: CaddyTek CaddyLite and Clicgear 3.0 Push Golf Cart. Ultimately I decided to go with CaddyTek primarily because I could get TWO of these for the price of a single Clicgear 3.0. It's truly a bargain! The golf cart was delivered faster than I had anticipated, too, and it's a beauty to behold (silver model). Here are some observations upon close inspection:

PROS:

- Light weight but solid built
- Folds compact and easily with just one button press
- Umbrella holder
- No more inflating (and deflating) wheels!!
- Bargain price compared to many other models with similar built and features
- Fast delivery

CONS:

- Just one small beverage holder
- No mesh bag to hold extra stuff like towel, rain/wind jacket, extra beverage, etc. (I'll have to DIY)
- "No Maintenance" wheels are wide (like other comparable models), so pushing would be harder on roughs

SOME VULNERABLE PARTS TO BE AWARE (like other comparable models, though, to be fair):

- "No Maintenance" wheels are made of plastic and therefore more prone to wear and tear, especially walking on concrete path and parking lot, etc.
- Brake is also plastic and only time will tell how long it'd last
- Small storage compartment for scorecard, pencil, etc. is also plastic and therefore easily breakable
- The part that joins the front wheel to the main frame is an aluminum rod encased all around with plastic, and this particular part is what I'll have to be concerned with more than anything else since it's also the pressure point from all of my golf bag's weight being placed on it. As long as I don't throw my bag onto it like a sack of rice, I think I'll be just fine.

Having inspected all different brands of similar design prior to the purchase, I knew that these carts all have vulnerability of some kind. I wanted to identify these vulnerable spots right from the beginning so I'd be careful and take precautionary measures for a long-lasting enjoyment of the product. If you can do that, then I feel very confident that this cart would serve you well.

UPDATE:

Took the cart out for a spin at a local golf course today. Sure enough, pushing this cart on grass takes extra effort, especially on rough. After the first hole, my wife decided to go back to using our old Sun Mountain push cart (with bicycle-type wheels). For younger folks, the "No Maintenance" type of wide wheels shouldn't be much of an issue. But for older folks and for ladies, you might want to think twice about getting this type of push carts. I should also add to the "Vulnerable Parts to be Aware," that the umbrella holder is very likely to break. The inner part that tightens the umbrella handle by knob twist is a plastic that I simply don't see how it's going to hold up with the umbrella swinging to every wind and little bumps on the course, etc. Still, for $113 I can't really complain. Again, in all fairness, these things I'm pointing out also apply to comparable push carts by other brands.

Clicgear Model 3.5+ Golf Cart

This is the first push cart I have ever purchased unless you want to count one of those cheap $40 carts you pull behind you with two wheels. This thing packs up to the size of a carry on suit case and unfolds with minimal effort. The adjustable straps allow for any bag to fit, including my large Nike cart bag. It rolls easy across the ground and with its low center of gravity you can feel it won't tip over. I know there were issues with the brake on the 3.0 model, but I have had zero problems with the brake on the 3.5. Plenty of storage space and you can tell it was built to last. Yes it costs $220, but you can either buy good once, or buy cheap twice.

Intech Tri Trac 3-Wheel Pull Golf Cart

Good price. Good quality. I used it few times for golfing. No problem. No brake, it means lighter weight, less problem to fix. There is always a way to keep it from running away. The bottle is bad but holder is good. I cut open the bottle side way, drill some holes and put a shoelace on it. Then I can put my thermos in it. The handle is strong, I put an umbrella holder on it with no problem. Assembling the cart is easy, but have to make sure every joint is securely in place.

I had the SpeedCart V2 for a year but got tired of it's large size and weight. I did a bunch of research for an easy to set up and compact light weight cart and came down to the Sun Mountain Micro Cart and the Caddytek CaddyCruiser one. Reading every review I could find for both I found a few people that complained about the Microcart breaking the plastic handles and also the tie-rods which connect the front wheels. I went to check it out for myself and sure enough it looked and felt flimsy. It also didn't fold or fold out smoothly, needing a little bit of tugging.

The Caddytek was the complete opposite. Very well made and sturdy and folding/unfolding couldn't be easier, very smooth and just one button to push, no dials to turn or latches, just one easy step. It weighs only 1 pound more then the Microcart and folds just about as small. I got it as Costco for a super deal and could not be happier. I'm 6'4" and have no trouble pushing it setting the handle height in the middle position. I also love I don't have to change handle height adjustment to fold it so it's always ready to go.

CaddyTek SuperLite Deluxe Golf Push Cart

I'll start by saying that I have had several push/pull carts that did not live up to expectations. Whether it was broken straps, crooked wheel alignment, or even just carts that don't fit my equipment. CaddyTek SuperLite Deluxe has none of these problems, and it's a steal compared to retail store prices.

It has a solid steel frame, and very sturdy plastic bag holders with tether cords to strap your clubs in. The handle has an adjustable angle which is nice for people of different heights. The break works (maybe too well if your forget it's on!) and I've been out for about 20 rounds without any wheel alignment problems. The ball/scorecard holder are pretty standard, no issues.

Assembly is a piece of cake, but this can be a little heavy for lifting in and out of the car for young kids, senior citizens, and some smaller women. Everyone else should have no problem, and the folded size fits perfectly in any trunk (I have a Honda Civic and it fits with my bag).

The biggest perk about this cart is that any bag will fit. Cart bags, stand bags, and tour bags all have plenty of room in the adjustable bag holders. My last cart didn't have room for the built-in legs of my stand bag which made it rotate on every hill. No problems on CaddyTek's cart!

Definitely buy this on if it's around the price range of other carts you're shopping.

This caddy has traveled nearly 80 miles over the past 2 months and it has performed flawlessly. I am able to walk at a brisk pace in an unencumbered fashion. When I arrive at my ball, the cart will stop about 1yd behind me-I press the large circular "Follow" button on the remote-take my swing-push the "Follow" button again and were off to the next. It has seamlessly entered the flow of my round.

It follows reliably and accurately. I am able to consistently have it follow on a short bridge that has entrance/exit posts that are spaced only 1ft wider than the cart's wheel-spread.

Remote-Control mode is responsive and a "feel" is quickly developed. Two holes on my course have very steep slopes just past the tee-box. I will use the RC mode for these slopes without concern. At no point along the course do i have to enter a purely manual mode.

Although the Li-Ion battery performance will eventually deteriorate, I am still getting though Sat and Sun on a single charge.

Reliable, powerful, and accurate...I am highly recommending this product.
